FAQ

Why bra without underwire?

A bra without underwire is ideal if you have unpleasant experiences with bras with underwire that sting or cause pressure points. Although a bra with underwire gives a little more support than a bra without underwire, it is good to know that 80% of the support comes from the band under your breasts. Wearing the right size is of course important.

When bra too big?

Large size bras have wide, sometimes also padded shoulder straps, often have one more hook on the back which makes the side panels a bit higher, just like the slightly higher middle piece between the cups. Just that bit of fabric ensures that the breasts are nicely separated from each other which looks much nicer, and that the breast also stays nicely in the cups, even with more movement.

What is a push-up bra?

A push-up bra is specifically designed to ensure that the breasts can be lifted. Because of this lifting, it goes without saying that the cleavage is additionally emphasized. For a push-up bra, it uses tight-fitting underwire combined with comfortable-feeling padding to elevator the breasts up and push them toward the center. The smaller pads found inside the cups further ensure that your breasts will look noticeably fuller. Push-up bras are known to be particularly suitable for women with smaller breasts.

What is a balconette bra?

For a balconette bra, it is a type of bra where the cups are cut lower at the top. As a result, the top of the breasts remain uncovered. Furthermore, with these bras it is also noticeable that the shoulder straps are placed slightly further apart. Therefore, they are not close to the neckline, but are located slightly closer to the shoulder tips. Because the cups in a balconette bra are found closer together, a nicer, fuller cleavage is created. In practice, a balconette bra can certainly also be an interesting choice for ladies who already have a larger cup, but would like a fuller-looking cleavage.

Buying a bra, what to look out for?

When buying a bra, make sure to always try on the loosest setting. Also, always check that your bra looks good under your clothes. In addition, it is not recommended to buy a new bra during 'your monthly party'. Furthermore, always check that the underwires are in place and slide two fingers under the band of your bra to check the size. Finally, you should also thoroughly check whether the cups fit your breasts properly or not. Of course, it goes without saying that you should also pay attention to whether the bra has the look you want.

When to buy first bra?

The average age at which girls first buy and wear a bra is 11. For some girls, they may need a bra as early as age 8. Other girls choose not to wear a bra until age 14, for example. So there is actually no real fixed age for this. Therefore, the general reason is that girls choose to start wearing a bra at the time when they no longer feel comfortable walking around without one. Also, when the breasts hurt while walking or playing sports, the time may be ripe for wearing the first bra.

Why wear or not wear a bra?

Is it better to amount to a bra or not? There is something to be said for both. For example, many women enjoy going through life bra-less. They believe that their breasts feel much freer, giving them better comfort. In addition, not wearing a bra would also benefit blood flow to the breasts. On the other hand, a lot of women do swear by wearing a bra. They say they experience a lot more comfort because of the considerably better support for their breasts. Whether you choose to wear a bra or not is a very personal choice.

Why choose a soft-cup bra?

A soft-cup bra is a bra with no padding. Wearing such a bra allows you to realistically accentuate the natural shape of your breasts. For many women, they have a definite preference for a soft-cup. The absolute number one reason why a soft-cup bra is so well perceived has to do with the sublime wearing comfort involved. You actually hardly feel that you are wearing a bra. Therefore, the elastic fabrics that these bras are made of ensure that they feel very fine on the skin.

What is a contoured bra?

Do you choose a pre-shaped bra? Then you are actually choosing a so-called padded bra. In this case, a shell-shaped support can be found under the fabric in which your breasts fit nicely. Your breasts will then assume the shape of the shells, pushing them more forward and/or to the side.

Why choose a contoured bra?

For many ladies, the choice of a pre-shaped bra may soon be made because of a few advantages associated with it. For example, pre-shaped bras provide extra firmness so that your breasts do not move too much freely. The cups also ensure that your nipples are not visible when it is cold and is an excellent choice to wear under T-shirts!
